Fernanda Torres won the award for acting in the film “I’m still here”

Fernanda Torres made history on Sunday evening (05) by winning the award for Best Drama Actress at the prestigious Golden Globes, held in Los Angeles. The Brazilian starred in the film I’m still heredirected by Walter Salles, and surpassed big names like Kate Winslet, Tilda Swinton, Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie and Pamela Anderson.




The achievement quickly became one of the most talked about topics on social media, with Internet users celebrating the historic feat. Fernanda Torres, taking the stage to receive the trophy, gave a sincere and emotional speech. “I didn’t prepare anything, because I don’t know if I was ready. This has been an incredible year for the performances of so many actresses who I deeply admire”he said.

Torres especially thanked director Walter Salles and dedicated the victory to his mother, Fernanda Montenegro. “My mother was here 25 years ago, and this is proof that art is a legacy that endures even in the most difficult times. This award is for her and all those who believe in the transformative power of cinema,” she said the actress, receiving a standing ovation from the audience.
