The country singer is attacked and his face disfigured after being attacked at a concert

The singer Benicioby the duo with Hermeshad his face disfigured after being attacked with a bottle during a New Year’s Eve show in Minas Gerais. The incident occurred while the celebrity was packing up the band’s equipment after the show.

According to Benício, the confusion was caused by a disagreement between two women who had come on stage to have the guitar used. Hermes managed to recover the instrument, but, immediately afterwards, the husband of one of the women attacked his compatriot.

“We did another show, the bus was waiting for us at the door to go […] I was winding the cables, with their heads down, two women came onto the stage, climbed onto the guitar stand and paid for Hermes’ guitar. I went and shouted to Hermes: “They’re taking away your guitar]1″. He went, took the guitar and handed it to the production guy and I rewound the cable, half lowered, at that moment the woman’s husband entered the stage from the side staircase, I didn’t see. He patted me on the shoulder, I turned around thinking someone was calling me, and when I turned around I got a bottle in the face,” the singer reported in a statement to the editorialist Leo Dias.

Show program cancelled

Benício needed more than 30 stitches in the UPA and put his performance schedule on holdS. “This affected me a lot, we had commitments, a show was cancelled, my wife is pregnant, she gets sick [o bebê] this month and it has affected us a lot, as well as affecting our physical health, our morale, our psychological health is not good”, he declared.

The attacker was arrested and taken to the Minas Gerais civil police station. After signing a detailed statement about what happened, he was released. The investigation into the case remains ongoing.
