Lisa Kudrow discovers Matthew Perry’s note 20 years after “Friends” ended.

Lisa KudrowPhoebe Buffay from Friendsrevealed this Tuesday, 7th, that he found a note left by Matthew Perrya year after the death of the actor who played Chandler Bing in the series.

In an interview with The Drew Barrymore Showthe actress was moved when she remembered that her friend had given her a jar of biscuits that was part of the set design of the series, in January 2004, on the last day of filming. Kudrow said she was surprised when she opened the gift and found Perry’s note.

“Matteo gave me this [o pote] at the end of our last episode. And recently I found a note inside it. I hadn’t opened it or looked inside. But yes, he did. There was a note there and I forgot about it… Timing is everything,” the actress said emotionally.

Death of Matthew Perry

On October 28, 2023, at the age of 54, Matthew Perry was found in the hot tub of his home in the Los Angeles region of the United States with signs of drowning. Police found no drugs at the scene, but an autopsy revealed the death was caused by the “acute effects of ketamine,” a substance used to induce and maintain anesthesia.

The actor was legally using the substance at low levels, in a controlled infusion treatment, but an autopsy determined that the high amount of ketamine found in his body was fatal.

In an interview with BBC Radio 2, Matthew even said that he didn’t remember several years of filming the series. The actor said drug and alcohol use erased about three years of his memory – between seasons 3 and 6 of Friends.
