Fernanda Torres’ ex Gerald Thomas calls Trump and Musk ‘closet fags’

An American citizen of Jewish origin, the award-winning theater director criticizes fanaticism and radicalism

Director and program writer, Gerald Thomas rejects Donald Trump’s return to the White House and the power granted to technology tycoon Elon Musk in the Republican government. He mainly criticizes their attacks on gender and sexual orientation diversity.

“This tyranny against gays, against ‘LGBTKY’ is due to the fact that everyone is closed,” he says in a video on a social network. “Donald Trump, Elon Musk, they’re a bunch of ‘closet,’ otherwise they wouldn’t have all this anger,” he says, using the expression for men who hide their true sexual orientation.

“These queers, I mean, I have nothing against them because I’m bisexual, I have no problem with that,” he explains. “They, I mean, they, dolls, a bunch of closeted queers, obviously, they’re problematic, so they have to show off, ‘Wow, I’m macho’.”

In another post, New York resident Gerald Thomas laments the resurgence of radical ideas. “Extremism is horrible in any circumstance. Bigotry is shit, it’s what kills thousands of people, if not millions of people.”

The artist comments on Musk’s controversial wave, compared to the Nazi salute, in a speech on the day of the presidential inauguration in the United States. “Idiot gesture on that idiot’s part,” he complains. He remembers that his Jewish grandmother, taken to a concentration camp during the Second World War, “was the victim of that gesture”.

Ex-husband of Fernanda Torres, whom he directed in stage productions such as the provocative ‘The Flash and Clash Days,’ Gerald congratulates the actress on her Oscar nomination. “Congratulations Nada on your Oscar nomination,” he wrote. “I have love and respect for Nanda and, above all, for her mother, Fernanda Montenegro, with whom I speak practically every day via WhatsApp.”
