A devastating fire occurred on Sunday (16) in a night club in Kocani, north -est of Macedonia do Norte, with consequent death of at least 59 people and injuring other 155. The ages of victims range from 14 to 24 years, according to the information issued by the director of the hospital attending the people involved in the accident.

The videos shared on social networks showed the moment when the flames quickly consumed the club’s ceiling, known as “Pulse”, which worked in a building previously used as a storage of rugs. It is estimated that around 1,500 people were present on the fire site, which took place during a presentation of the popular Hip-Hop DNK group.

The rapid propagation of the fire has been attributed to the flammable materials present in the ceiling structure. The interior minister, Toshkovsk benches, indicated that some visitors were releasing fireworks during the presentation, which may have contributed to the beginning of the flames when they contact the ceiling.
