Metallica are making the most of the relationship between the “Stranger Things” series and its metal classic “Masters of Puppets”. During a show held at the Lollapalooza festival on Thursday night (7/28) in Chicago, the band screened the part of the series in which Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) plays the song on guitar. The inclusion of the scene drew enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
“Stranger Things” helped earn “Master of Puppets” on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. After its highlight in the final episode of season 4 of the Netflix series, the song emerged at number 40 on the Billboard pop music chart.
The 1986 recording, which naming the American band’s third studio album, never made it to any of the Billboard charts, debuting now, 36 years after its release.
