Edgar was married to Gilberto Braga for 48 years and was a widower in October 2021. Since 2023, he has experienced a relationship with Cristhian, who in addition to an actor is a lawyer.
Before the ceremony, the two passed New York for a “single farewell”. The couple also announced that they would give the same amount received in gifts to the retreat of the artists.
