Bernardo Gomes de Oliveira3, died after being point from a yellow scorpion to Cambará, in the north of the Paraná. The case was confirmed on Monday (15), after the boy presented 33 heart arrests.

After the bite, Bernardo He was brought to the Cambará municipal hospital, where he received initial care. The transfer to Santa Casa De Jacarezinho was therefore requested for the administration of anti -nesto, an essential drug in the treatment of Scorpio’s bites.

The transfer, however, has undergone delays. While waiting for the ambulance, the boy presented the worsening of the clinical picture, including episodes of vomiting. Upon arrival in Santa Casa, the family was informed of the insufficiency of the available antidote: Bernardo He needed six Amepoules, but the hospital had only five.

Despite medical efforts, the boy was unable to resist the complications deriving from the bite and died on Monday (15).
