British by nationality and Italian by origin, Claire Forlani got into show business as a child: a beautiful and quite capable girl was admitted to the London School of Art. At the age of 19, she starred in her first film Gypsy Eyes, then, after several episodes, in 1994 she got her first major role – in the 7th part of the then very popular Police Academy franchise.

And it turns out that it was the Russian audience who paid special attention to Claire: this part of the comedy was shot in Russia, and Forlani got the role of Katerina, an employee of the Moscow police.

This was followed by other starring roles, and Claire woke up as a world-class star after the release of the movie Meet Joe Black in 1998. Forlani’s partners were Brad Pitt and Sir Anthony Hopkins. The film’s plot and the skill with which it was shot bring “Joe Black” to the public’s attention today, nearly 25 years later.

On set, Forlani and Pitt had an affair and became one of the audience’s favorite couples – together they were truly amazing! Unfortunately, the matter never came to the wedding, but the beauty Claire quickly consoled herself.

Why did Claire fall into oblivion? There were several reasons for this. Immediately after “Joe Black”, she began shooting with director Stephen Sommer in the film “Rising from the Deep”. However, the director’s attitude towards the film crew and working conditions did not suit Forlani. She argued with Sommer and terminated the contract. In the film, she was replaced by Famke Janssen.

At the same time, the actress experienced a huge personal tragedy – her mother died. This changed Claire a lot internally. At some point, she realized that Hollywood values ​​are not close to her and that the need to maintain them destroys her individuality.

In 2007, Claire Forlani married her colleague Dougray Scott – in Russia he is best known for his role in the television series Desperate Housewives. The couple are raising an adopted son, and now Claire is filmed extremely rarely, rejoicing that they can afford to choose only those projects that “stick” to her.
