Tati Machado speaks for the first time after the loss of his son

The journalist Tati Machado, known for his television work, broke the silence this weekend when he publicly talked about the loss of his son Rael. The pregnancy, which was developed until the 33rd week, was unexpectedly interrupted in May of this year. The host reported in an interview with Fantástico and also in a video published on social networks, the emotional impact of her and the episode of her husband, the photographer Bruno Monteiro.

Rael’s pregnancy was enthusiastically announced during the Mais Você program. However, on the return of a trip to San Paolo, Tati noticed the absence of the movements of the child. Initially, he tried to reassure himself with the use of a homemade device, but decided to look for hospital care after reading a similar loss lived by another artist. The diagnosis confirmed the worst: Rael’s heart had stopped.

“At the same time, my world stopped,” Tati recalled. From there, the couple faced mourning. The delivery was induced and, despite the suffering, the moment was described as a dismissal full of meaning. “When we met Rael, it was our farewell moment,” said Bruno.

Without concrete medical explanations, even after detailed exams, Rael’s death follows without a defined cause. The return home, crossing motherhood and corridors full of babies, was particularly painful. Tati recognized, however, the reception received at the maternity hospital in which he was hospitalized, where he was removed from other mothers. “It’s a tear pain,” he said.

Gestational pain, classified by Tati as silent pain, now has legal recognition in Brazil. The new sanctioned law of maternal mourning provides psychological support to parents who face losses of this type. “This pain to lose a child is very silent. I want people to have certified with the name they chose. Because it existed,” he said electrified.

The recent trip to the Amazon, accompanied by the singer Lexa, who also suffered a neonatal mourning, was considered an important step for Tati’s emotional reconstruction. “Rael was always there,” he said.

In the process of returning to work, Tati is preparing to rediscover Ana Maria Braga and participates in the next edition of the famous dance, of which he was champion. However, he admits that the healing process is continuous. “I’m not ready. Today’s answer is that I’m not ready yet. But I didn’t give up,” he confessed.

In the explosion published on Sunday (27), Tati also underlined the importance of talking about the topic. “It’s an enlightened wound. It’s a mourning that lasts. It’s not something he heals,” he said. According to her, giving voice to pain was a way to welcome and be welcomed by other women who lived similar situations.
