However, the disease returned aggressively in 2024, leading her to look for experimental treatments in the United States, where she died in New York. His body was transferred to Brazil, with the funeral that occurred at the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Theater Friday (25 July), followed by a cremation in a ceremony limited to family and friends.
Among those present at the Mass were characters such as Fernanda Montenegro, Carolina Dieckmann, Marcelo Serrado, Gloria Perez, Malu Mader, Cris Vianna and Cissa Guimarães. The ex -husband Otávio Muller and the son of the singer, Francisco Gil. Gilberto Gil, the artist’s father, was at the ceremony and visibly electrified he spoke to the press of his daughter’s loss.
