Anne Heche is under investigation for the accident that left her in a coma

Actress Anne Heche is being investigated by the LAPD for the incident on Friday (5/8) that left her in a coma. US website TMZ revealed that police want to find out if she was driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and has obtained a warrant to perform a blood test on the actress to determine this possibility.

According to the publication, the suspicion arose after witnesses described that he made irregular and reckless maneuvers on the street. A video of her also shows her almost running on a pedestrian. Also, before her worst accident, she crashed into a car parked in the garage of an apartment complex.

Heche was rescued by the residents, but she reversed and accelerated to escape the scene, so she ended up driving the vehicle head-on into a house. The accident was so bad that she started the car, a blue Mini Cooper, and left her body with severe burns.

The officers also received a photo of Anne shortly before the accident, which showed a bottle inside the car, reinforcing the suspicion that she was drinking alcohol while driving.

Anne Heche’s condition is described as “quite critical”.

“Anne is in extremely critical condition right now. She has significant lung damage that requires mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgery. She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness from the accident,” said a statement from her representative.

The 53-year-old actress has a long career in films and series, which began in the 1980s with the soap opera “Outro Mundo”. She starred in such films as “Donnie Brasco” (1997), “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (1997), the remake of “Psycho” (1998) and “Six Days, Seven Nights” (1998), in which she was Harrison Ford’s love interest. But from there, her film career was influenced, in a biased way, when she took over her relationship with Ellen DeGeneres.

Years later, she declared herself bisexual, when she became involved with a camera assistant and, later, with James Tupper, her love interest in the “Men in Trees” series, with whom she had a child. The 2006 series, by the way, was her biggest hit and anticipated a successfully replicated storyline model to date, see “Virgin River” on Netflix.

On TV, she also played “Ally McBeal”, “Hung”, “Dig”, “Aftermath”, “The Brave” and “Chicago PD” among many other attractions.
