Who was the athlete who died in jump after choosing not to open the parachute

Jade Damarell32, died in a jump of parachute in the county of Durham, England, at the end of April, and the cause was officially confirmed as suicide last week by the Coroner Leslie Hamilton. Known for his experience, with over 500 jumps, Jade was admired in the parachuting community and considered a courageous and dedicated athlete.

According to the relationships of close friends, death occurred shortly after an eight -month relationship that ends with another parachuting. During the fatal jump, the athlete intentionally deactivated the parachute emergency device and left the tickets for training, as well as detailed instructions on the equipment on his mobile phone, to access after his death.

Jade’s family commented enthusiastic and thanked the support received: “It was brilliant, beautiful, courageous and truly extraordinary”. Friends strengthen that the young woman was in love with parachuting and had close links with colleagues in this sport, underlining the need for mental health care in sports at risk.
