Hand Brown apologizes with Camila Pitania after talking about the podcast


Hand brown started publicly after calling the actress “Mulatto” during the recording of the podcasts. Camila corrected as a black woman.

The rapper Mane Brown issued formal apologies to Camila Pitania and his father, Antonio Pitania, after having called him “Mulatto” during the recording of the “Bro” podcast. The retraction was published on Monday (15) on the artist’s social networks, after the episode generated a negative repercussion among the spectators.




During the program, Camila immediately corrected the presenter, reaffirming her identity as a woman of color. The term used by the rapper is considered inappropriate to refer to blacks, as criticized on digital platforms after the dissemination of the content.

The “hand” episode had a father and daughter as guests and brought discussions on racial terminologies and identity of identity in Brazil. The Pitanga family was directly influenced by the repercussion of the program, a fact recognized by the same presenter in its declaration.

“I come to thank you immensely for the warm reception of hand to the new season of hand. Each episode has been thought with care and purpose and we are happy to see how this exchange has played and generated reflections in our audience,” Brown said in his declaration.

The rapper specifically directed his apologies to the actors: “I also want to issue a sincere excuse to the Pitania family, in particular Antonio and Camila Pitania, our guests, for the inconvenience caused by the repercussion of the episode”.

In his message, hand Brown took full responsibility for the accident. “We recognize that the conduct of the theme and the way the episode has been released are our full responsibility, above all because it is a controversial and current problem,” he said.

The artist also praised the participation of guests in the program. “We also strengthened that guests had an excellent participation, contributing with respect, wisdom and generosity to the debate,” he said.
