Janja Detona Michelle after the former First Lady called him “Cachaceiro”

The First Lady Janja Lula da Silva Publicly spoken against the personal attacks of Michelle Bolsonaro the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The declarations have repercussions widely on social networks and in the press, generating criticism from both government allies and more moderate opponents who have seen in the speech an example of aggressive and scarcely institutional speech.

Janja, who has so far remained discreet in the face of provocations, decided to position himself. “I hope the ethics of people who have already occupied the same place as me. It is not this type of behavior that most women want to see from an ex first lady”, declared. He stressed that while political attacks are common in the current polarized environment, there are limits that must be respected, especially by figures with a history of public influence.

First Lady also took advantage of the interview to reaffirm its role together with the president. “I am fully convinced that I can defend you from any attack by men or women. It is not just about defending my husband, but of positioning myself in front of a speech that strengthens stereotypes and feeds political hatred.”he said.

Speaking of his personal experience since he began to occupy a space for greater national visibility, Janja was sincere about the emotional impacts of the constant exposure on social networks and the hostility with which he is often curated by the opponents. “There were moments when I thought, yes, to put my things, take dogs and leave Brazilia”confided.

However, he assures that he remains firm in his commitment to the government and the causes he defends, such as the participation of women in politics, social rights and the fight against disinformation. “It takes courage to be in this place. But I think it is possible to face this hostile environment with dignity and work”he said.

The clash between Janja and Michelle exposes not only the level of tension between government and opposition, but also the transformation of the role of the First Lady into Brazilian politics. Unlike previous managers, Janja has shown that he is an active figure, with his opinion and participation in the relevant institutional programs. Already Michelle Bolsonaro, in turn, also took the protagonism within the PL, having also been mentioned to contest majority positions in the future elections.

In this context, the controversy between the two ends up obtaining symbolic contours: it is not only a personal conflict, but distinct opinions on politics, public morality and the female presence in the center of power.
