Anitta spoke on the night of Wednesday 17, against the approval of the PEC of the armor by the Chamber of Deputies. The proposal for amendment to the Constitution (PEC) makes it difficult to progress causes against deputies and senators, including the execution of the arrest mandates.

“We are aware of this disservice in our policy,” wrote the old Twitter on social networks. The singer also shared an image that said: “The senators, we count on you”, a request for the Senate to vote against the proposal.

The PEC was approved on the night of Tuesday 16, by the House of Representatives after a vote in two shifts. 353 parliamentarians approved the basic text, another 134 voted against the project. There was only one abstention.

The proposal saves the “previous license”, a device that gave the Chamber and the Federal Senate the possibility of excluding the opening of criminal proceedings against one of its members. The provision was organized in the 1988 Constitution and was subsequently withdrawn after the approval of a PEC in 2001.

Before that year, in order to open a criminal proceeding, the Supreme Court had to ask the house for a license request to continue with the case. According to Estadão, Câmara and Senado have forbidden at least 224 requests for preliminary license made by the Supreme Court to pursue criminal congress until 2001. No request has been made.
