According to the magazine, Milton’s family was born to suspect some clinical conditions in the first half of 2025, when the singer had motor difficulties, mental confusion and oblivion. “When I saw that my father had a sudden worsening in the cognitive photo, I asked the doctor if it would have been crazy to make a shirt journey with him in the United States,” said Augustus, the artist’s son.
In May, father and son embarked on the American adventure. A few weeks after returning, Milton received the diagnosis of dementia from Lewy Bodies (DCL).

The dementia of Lewy’s bodies is the third most common type of dementia. The condition is characterized by the abnormal accumulation of proteins called Lewy bodies in the brain. These deposits compromise the communication of neurons, causing their degeneration and death and influencing cognition, movement and behavior.
For those who live with someone with DCL, such as Milton Netting, symptoms can resemble those of Alzheimer’s. In addition, due to motor and cognitive and behavioral problems, it can also be confused with Parkinson’s.
So far, there is no cure for the condition, but the symptoms (of cognition, movement and behavior) can be controlled with drugs, as well as with support therapies.
