The former couple Belo and Gracyanne Barbosa were summoned by the Court of Justice of São Paulo (TJ-SP) by notice to respond to a trial for embezzlement, ongoing since 2020. According to the movements on the TJ-SP portal, attempts to summon the two have been exhausted and they have not been found in any of the available addresses.

The information according to which Belo and Gracyanne were formally cited was disseminated by the columnist Fábia Oliveira, of Metropolisand confirmed by Earth. The case in question refers to the accusation that the former couple had stolen items, such as a washing machine, a hydromassage motor and a water filter worth R$ 2,000, belonging to a property they rented.

In addition to Belo and Gracyanne, the defendants also include a third person, Nelson Trajano de Ataíde, who died in 2024 and was excluded from the trial.

Now, on the basis of the quote contained in the notice, considered public media, the defense of Belo and Gracyanne must speak. If, however, no representative of the former couple speaks out, the Court can appoint a public defender who will handle the case and, ultimately, judge the case in absentia, i.e. without the participation of the defendants.
