The influencer was caught during a boat trip without the safety equipment required by law
According to information confirmed by the Brazilian Navy, the police station of the Port Authority of Itacuruçá (DelItacuruçá) received a complaint on the afternoon of last Monday 13, for driving a jet ski in Mangaratiba without the use of the necessary safety equipment, in particular the life jacket. During the investigations, the Navy agents ascertained that the aquatic vehicle used did not have the obligation of visual identification and that it was driven by a person without a suitable nautical license. Additionally, there were two passengers on the jet ski, all without life jackets.
In light of these irregularities, the Navy confirmed that the company responsible for the watercraft will be fined for three infringements, as established by NORMAM-212/DPC (Maritime Authority Regulation Regulating Navigation in Inland and Coastal Waters). The sanctions applied follow the rules established by the RLESTA (Regulation for the safety of maritime navigation, decree no. 2.596/1998), which provides for fines and other administrative sanctions. In addition to the company, Virginia Fonseca will also receive a fine for the infringement committed by piloting the jet ski without a life jacket and without having the necessary license.
This episode recalls the case of the singer Ludmilla, also fined by the Navy for driving a jet ski without a life jacket and without a license, also in the Costa Verde region. At the time, infringements were considered serious and the fines applied could range from R$40 to R$2,200 per infringement, reaching a total of R$4,400, depending on the number of infringements recorded.
It is worth remembering that the use of a life jacket is an essential safety measure for all those who use water vehicles, as it can save lives in the event of an accident. Furthermore, a nautical license is required to ensure that drivers are able to maneuver vehicles safely, respecting the rules and limits of navigation.
The Navy reiterates that it will continue to monitor the practice of sporting and nautical activities along the entire Brazilian coast to ensure the safety of users and prevent accidents.
