Tati Machado has repeatedly raised the flag in favor of the inclusion of diverse bodies on television, as he did when he won the Celebrity dance or during discussions in Tight skirtfrom GNT. However, the presenter began to consider herself a fat woman just when she began to appear on the screen of Globo and received feedback from the public.

I also considered myself a fat woman when I started appearing on television. When they started painting some messages like, ‘I think I look like you. Where do your clothes come from? I think this outfit would be good for me too.’ I said, ‘Hey, wait a minute, I think there are people who are inspired by me.’ This became my desire to represent these people,” Tati says in an interview with Earth.

“I’m someone who became fat as an adult. As a child I didn’t suffer what happens to many fat women. So I’m very flattered when people see me as someone they represent on television. I think more people need to engage in this with me,” adds the host.

Tati spoke to the journalist during Sao Paulo Fashion Week, and analyzed that there has been a recent return to extreme thinness as a beauty standard in fashion, but celebrates the fact that major international fashion shows, such as Victoria’s Secret, have also included models more dimensions on the catwalk.

He celebrated the fact that national fashion shows, such as that of the Meninos Rei brand, which he attended from the front row, put several models on the catwalk. “Where there are different organizations is also the place where I unite, every time there are Brazilian brands that represent the Brazilian reality, because organizations similar to mine are the majority in the country.”
