After months of fighting, Simone and Simaria announced the end of the duo on Thursday 18th. Immediately after the announcement, Simone Mendes used Instagram Stories to send a message to her sister.
He posted a video with a photo of the two. The caption reads: “I love you my sister! Thanks for everything!”.
The singer also wrote: “You are my sun, my light”, referring to a song by the duo, which is the soundtrack to the short video.
The song is “Minha Luz, Meu Sol”, taken from the 2015 album “Bar das Coleguinhas”.
So far, Simaria hasn’t responded. His last post was the announcement of the duo’s separation.
Separation
According to a statement released on Instagram, all the shows of the duo will be performed by Simone. The artists will pursue a solo career.
“Out of respect for fans, friends and partners, Simone and Simaria officially communicate that the duo’s activities are over. The artists will continue, from here, in a solo career, accomplished by Simone”, reads the note.
