LETHAL! Find out who the four BOPE police officers were killed in a mega operation in Rio

The mega-operation launched in the Alemão and Penha compounds, in Rio de Janeiro, resulted in 121 deaths, being considered the largest and most lethal execution by the Military Police, surpassing the Carandiru massacre, which killed 111 inmates on October 2, 1992, in São Paulo. Among the victims are two civilian police officers and two soldiers from the police special operations battalion (BOPE).

According to the Rio de Janeiro state government, the action aimed to capture the leaders of the Vermelho Command and stop the group’s expansion. Instead, the operation became the bloodiest in the history of the state of Rio and the action with the highest number of deaths in the 21st century in Brazil.

The injured officers were immediately taken to the state hospital Getúlio Vargas (HGV), in Penha, but four others were killed. I am:
