Launch of Father Alex Nogueira of Edições Loyola proposes an itinerary of reflections and meditations for every day of the year
Every morning is an opportunity to dedicate a few minutes to the presence of God and on the spiritual side, before routine takes up time and attention. It is this space of pause that the priest Alex Nogueira presents the Catholic devotional”Good morning, my God”. Published by Loyola EditionsThis book is an invitation to 365 days of prayer and meditation, offering a framework that guides the faithful to integrate spirituality into everyday life.
How does it work?
For each day of the year, the priest presents two points of study of the Word, a spiritual exercise, the reading of the Gospel, the memory of the saint celebrated on that date and two activities with space for notes. In some sections the QR Codes link to the author’s videos, bringing the reader closer to the digital content.
It also asks questions about the importance of meditation for Catholic Christians and offers a step-by-step guide to practicing it, which includes preparation, meditation, and conclusion. Among the topics covered are Christian virtues, the sacraments, devotion to Mary, angels and saints, as well as reflections on sin, salvation and material detachment.
Faith and religiosity
“Good morning, my God” presents prayer as a central practice of the Catholic faith, to keep alive the awareness of God’s presence, which strengthens perseverance and helps in spiritual discernment. According to the priest, meditation appears as a moment of self-knowledge and conversion, an invitation to recognize weaknesses and make room for grace.
