British star Tom Hardy, star of “Venom” and “Mad Max: Fury Road”, won two gold medals in a charity jiu-jitsu championship last weekend in the UK.
In addition to competing, the 44-year-old actor attended the event as the administrator of REORG Charity, a charity that helps people with severe physical injuries, PTSD and depression by teaching them jiu-jitsu to help them recover physically and psychologically.
Tom began learning jiu-jitsu to prepare for his role in the 2011 movie “Warrior” in which he plays an MMA fighter. Since then he has continued to train and be involved in the community.
In a video of the event released on social media, Hardy can be seen fighting on the mat.
In addition to him, Brazilian athletes such as Roger Gracie, Braulio Estima and Jean Jacques Machado are also part of the NGO project.
Hardy will return to play Venom in a third film in the series, confirmed by Sony last April. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate your fighting skills in “Havoc”, a new film from director Gareth Evans (from the cult film “The Raid – Operation Invasion”), and in “The Bikeriders”, by Jeff Nichols (“Loving: A Love Story “), both still without a date for the premiere.
