
Actor Milo Ventimiglia has already defined a project after finishing “This Is Us”. He will star in the series “The Company You Keep”, developed for the US channel ABC.
“The Company You Keep” is a remake of the South Korean series “My Fellow Citizens!” (Gungmin Yeoreobun), originally aired on South Korean channel KBS2. The attraction lasted over 30 episodes.
The plot of this new version will follow Charlie (Ventimiglia), a scammer who becomes romantically involved with an undercover CIA agent. As she tries to finally abandon her criminal life, she is investigating a criminal to whom Charlie’s family owes. This jeopardizes not only their relationship, but the lives of everyone involved.
The cast of the remake also includes Catherine Haena Kim (“FBI”), William Fichtner (“Mom”), Sarah Wayne Callies (“The Walking Dead”), Tim Chiou (“SEAL Team”), James Saito (“Altered Carbon”) ) and Felisha Terrell (“Dynasty”). Fichtner and Callies had previously worked together on the “Prison Break” series.
In addition to acting, Ventimiglia will also produce the attraction, along with director Jon M. Chu (“In a Neighborhood of New York”).
The series was created by Julia Cohen (“A Million Things”), who will share the role of showrunner with Phil Klemmer (“Legends of Tomorrow”). The pilot was directed by Ben Younger (“Blood for Glory”).
There is no release date for the remake yet.
