Actress Autobiography Exposes Problems With Her Mom And Nickelodeon’s Corruption For Abuse The Network
Jennette McCurdy’s controversial autobiography, I’m glad my mother is deadlaunched at the beginning of August in the United States, it already has a date to arrive in Brazil with Portuguese translation: November 15th.

Additionally, she denounces Nickelodeon’s alleged bribery to silence her about her experience on the net, including abuse by a man she calls “The Creator”.
In the excerpt, the actress recounts a telephone conversation with her managers, in which they claim that the company had offered $ 300,000 on the condition that she never again speak publicly about her time in the organization. The discussion would take place days after the cancellation of the Sam and Gatto.
“Nickelodeon is offering me $ 300,000 in cash not to publicly talk about my experience on the show? My personal experience of Creator abuse? This is a network with shows made for children. Shouldn’t they have some sort of moral compass? “Aren’t they at least trying to follow some sort of ethical standard?” he writes.
In the extract published by the magazine vanity fair, Jennette talks about an episode in which “The Maker” offers her alcohol, even though she was a minor, and massages her back without consent. “I want to say something, ask him to stop, but I’m afraid to offend him,” she says in the book.
In an interview with the American newspaper The New York Times, Miranda Cosgrovewho was the star of Icarly and now back at the revival – which doesn’t have Jennette in the cast – she said she didn’t know the hardships her friend was facing.
“When you are younger, you are so in your bubble that you cannot even imagine that the people around you are facing very difficult battles,” he told the newspaper.
