“My mother saved me,” said the singer

Paola Fernandes38, recalled the problems of mental health which he had to deal with early in his career. In a podcast interview Chat with Clehe confided that he was suffering depression and this got her thinking suicide.

“I left [de casa] I was 11 and went to Sao Paulo. When I was almost 18 it was enough for me. I went into depression and chose the window I would jump out of. My mother saved me. ‘If you jump first, I’ll jump with you because I can’t stand being without you,’ “recalled her mother’s speech.

According to the singer, at the time she had no money and had not yet found a job. Thus, she decided to return to Minas Gerais, depressed and frustrated. She also lost seven pounds and her hair was falling out. To make matters worse, her mother had separated from her father.

The cure only came from the moment he realized it was a serious illness. “I needed to visit a psychiatrist and it wasn’t crazy. And my family would say, ‘Paula is crazy.’
