Is the Golden Age of Streaming Over? Several personalities in Hollywood have already expressed their displeasure at the idea of seeing their films out of theaters. This is the case of actress Elizabeth Olsen, who, among others, appeared in Godzilla and the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Scarlet Witch.
In an interview with the magazine InStyleThe actor explains:If the film is independent and only sold on a streaming platform, that’s fine. But I don’t want to do something that just ends up being streamed.”
He continues: “I think it is important for people to be together in society, to meet other people, to be together in the same space. That’s why I love sports. I find it stimulating to unite around an event that fascinates us.”
When Scarlett Johansson attacked Disney
“Hearings are no longer done in person“- adds the actor. This statement recalls the lawsuit filed by Scarlett Johansson against Disney.
In 2021, the Hollywood star accused the studio of not honoring his contract when Black Widow was released. Due to the Covid pandemic, Disney chose to release the film simultaneously on the Disney+ platform. This decision conflicted with the contract, which guaranteed exclusive theatrical release.
Elizabeth Olsen will return to theaters on December 3rd in Forever with Miles Teller and Callum Turner.
