David Miranda was hospitalized in early August after experiencing severe abdominal pain

Journalist Glenn Greenwald spoke this Sunday, 9, about the state of health of her husband, deputy federal David Miranda, hospitalized for two months in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the São Vicente clinic in Rio de Janeiro. David Miranda was hospitalized in early August after experiencing severe abdominal pain.
On his Twitter account, he said that, with David improving in late September, he had even talked to doctors about a possible discharge from the ICU in early October, but the lawmaker had complications early in the month.
“Wednesday marked two full months of David’s ICU stay. During the last 10 days of September, he showed excellent and exciting progress: David was awake and communicative, he started exercising, our children visited every day. and he was able to talk and even play with them and generally the worst parts seemed to be behind us, “he said.
According to the reporter, complications have arisen, paralyzing and reversing some of his progress. “These complications have brought some difficult and even quite scary moments in the past week. But now it looks like David has managed to pull it off, and we hope and believe he is getting back on the recovery path that was so encouraging at the end of September ”.
The deputy spends most of the day awake and communicative, as informed by her husband.
“We remain grateful to all the people around the world who continued to send David love, support, prayers and positive thoughts. We are also grateful for his incredibly dedicated and skilled team of ICU doctors and nurses who worked so hard to facilitate his recovery (ICU nurses are some of the noblest people in the world). Despite these past 10 very difficult days, we believe more than ever in David’s full recovery. “
