Gianna said on Tuesday that she hired a team of lawyers to pursue the lawsuit for harassment, embezzlement, defamation and infliction of emotional distress. The trial also mentions partners and associates.

Over the weekend, Kanye appeared on the Drink Champs podcast and said the death was caused by fentanyl, a controlled substance in the United States. In 2020, California police officers killed Floyd from asphyxiation.

The family’s lawyers asked Kanye to remove all content from his digital platforms that mentioned George Floyd’s death. In the letter sent to the rapper, they said they will take action if those posts are not deleted.

Recently, Kanye has had several controversial jokes. He was even banned from Twitter and Instagram after anti-Semitic statements.
