Actor Daniel Craig was decorated by Princess Anne with the Order of St Michael and St George, the same honor received by the James Bond character, which the actor played in the cinema. The honor was awarded in recognition of Craig’s outstanding contributions to film and theater.
The ceremony took place on Tuesday morning (18/10), at Windsor Castle, England.
Created in April 1818 by King George VI, then Prince of Wales, the honor is meant to recognize citizens for their outstanding achievements in society.
The royal family’s official Twitter and Instagram account shared a photo of the star receiving her honor, which can be viewed below.
It is worth mentioning that Daniel Graig was already appointed Honorary Commander of the Royal Navy last year, a position also held by James Bond.
