What were you doing at 24? The actress Daniela Olimpia got the feat of being on a hit Netflix series and being part of the cast of the new 9pm soap opera, Crossing. From the outside, the jump looks astronomical, but this young star has fought for its place in the sun.

Determined, Danielle made two plans for her life: she would study to become an actress until the age of 25; and, if her career doesn’t take off, she tries another business.

The first opportunity came in a short for the closed channel TNT and then got a test to live streaming the protagonist of the series tuning, which tells the daily life of three young people from the outskirts of São Paulo. She didn’t get the role she wanted her to, but she joined the show to play the lively Cocoa.

tuning it has already been renewed for the fourth year and is a success with the public. But Danielle needed more.

“I didn’t come from a rich family, a family that had money to invest in the arts”, says the young actress in an exclusive interview with Land. “While recording the series I also did other jobs, worked as a bilingual analyst and even sold cheese bread with my mother.”

The backlash from the show doesn’t necessarily translate into financial success. “I’m on a Netflix series, but I have to pay my bills,” says the actress.

Premiere on Globe

The invitation to participate in a production of the Globo group came before the pandemic, a series in which Danielle was cast, but which was canceled. Immediately after finishing the recordings of the third season of the series on Netflix and with a free schedule, the invitation to the test Crossing. And it was like a gift: she received the proposal the day she turned 24.

“Usually people say that we shouldn’t put a deadline to make dreams come true, but it wasn’t a question of time, it was a question of responsibility, of stability in life,” says the actress with the maturity of someone who has years on the road. “Now I have the money to study more. I want to dance, sing, study languages ​​… It’s a great achievement, I’m really happy.”

In the plot written by Glória Perez, Karina is the daughter of Marineide and Joel, played by Flávia Reis and Nando Cunha. Joel is a waiter at the bar ‘Encanto da Vila’, a point of Vila Isabel that will be frequented by several celebrities and will welcome Miss Brisa (Lucy Alves).

“It was a different experience, but I’m really enjoying both of them,” compares the actress. “In a series, we have more time to devote to each scene. In the soap opera, everything is very dynamic.”

According to the actress, the recordings with her character began in the second week of October and the fun atmosphere of a bar and a samba translates into the production backstage.

“It’s all very sunny, a very cool crowd that I play in front of. We also played ‘Uno’ waiting to record,” laughs the actress, worried about the samba cadence and slang of those who grew up in Rio to give life to a carioca.

Danielle has not yet had the opportunity to record scenes outside her core in the soap opera, and has only met other actors in the recording of a participation in the program. cauldron, presented by Marcos Mion. On the other hand, he keeps dreaming big and wanting more.

“I want to have the opportunity to be the protagonist of a series, or a film, or a soap opera … I love art”, dreams the actress.
