The singer will release a memoir called “Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story” in November.

Bono Vox, the lead singer of U2, discovered that the man he considered his cousin is actually his stepbrother. The artist’s father, Brendan Robert Hewson, was in a relationship with an aunt named Barbara and the relationship was born Scott Ranking. Bono’s mother, Iris, who died when he was just 14, never knew the truth.
According to NME, the story is told in Bono’s autobiography, “Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story,” due out in November. In it the singer writes that he always felt that he and Rankin were brothers. “The truth is, with Scott we felt like brothers long before we knew we were. I love Scott and his mother Barbara ”.
“I need to know something was going on and I must have blamed my father for making my mother miserable in the way children take things,” the artist wrote.
