‘I was reluctant’: Why did Henry Cavill’s replacement hesitate to take on the role of Geralt in The Witcher?

Why did Liam Hemsworth hesitate to accept the role of Geralt?

A huge fan of video games, but also the Netflix series and Andrzej Sapkowski’s original novels, the Australian actor was still hesitant to accept the role of Geralt. In an interview with our colleagues Radio TimesHe reveals that he did not want to take over another actor, who is also very popular among fans of the series:

I think if I wasn’t a fan myself, if I didn’t care about that world, I wouldn’t get on board. The reason I did it was because I was a fan and I thought I could do the character justice. I thought I could bring an interesting interpretation to this part of the story.

Season 4 is a new beginning for Geralt.
