Behind almost every great pop singer, there is a group of dancers who guarantee a great show beyond the voice of the artist. In Brazil it is no different.

artists like anita, Luisa Sonza And ludmilla work with a group of dancers who strive to build a show that offers performance, energy and charisma. But what is the routine of the dancers who are part of the dance corps of the greatest singers of our country?

or Estadio spoke with three women who have excelled in this role and tell their trajectories from the beginning of their professional life to the hectic routine of rehearsals, introductions and travels they experience today.

Amanda Araujo (Luisa Sonza)

Amanda Araújo fell in love with dance when he was still a child of about eight. He grew up in the theater and taking courses with different rhythms, but decided that he would take the profession seriously when he turned 18.

She met Luisa Sonza when he participated in the recordings of the music video Slowly2018. In the same year he was invited by Flavio Vernethe singer’s current choreographer, to join the dance troupe and act as a choreographic assistant.

“It’s not easy, especially here in Brazil, where art is underestimated”, says Amanda about the difficulty of reaching such a level in the country.

“There have been many years of study, perfecting my technique with different masters to whom I am also grateful for helping me get to where I am today. But I believe that consistency is as important as or even more than talent”.

“Crazy” is the word he uses to describe the dance troupe’s routine. “Especially when Luísa has new special tours and shows, like the last one at Rock In Rio,” she points out. The artist’s presentation took place on the first weekend of the festival, in September.

Amanda says that, in events like this, the team rehearses every day for at least four hours for a few months so that everything goes according to plan: “The team is super perfectionist and above all Luísa, who is very demanding with the work she wants to deliver” .

Today with over 1.3 million followers on Instagram, Amanda’s work has expanded from stage to social media as a digital influencer. A good part of this audience, however, arrived recently.

In July 2022, a video of the dancer performing a dance solo at a Luísa Sonza show went viral on TikTok. Within a few weeks, several records of other performances began circulating. With that, Amanda achieved a projection that she had never achieved before.

“As an influencer, I always hope it goes viral. But I never imagined it would be this big,” he says. “It was one of the milestones of my career, I was extremely happy with all the repercussions, and I still am today. This work reached people of all ages and profiles, everyone wanted to dance.”

Brunna Gonçalves (Ludmilla)

Discipline, concentration and determination. For Brunna Goncalvesthese are the three pillars for those who want to pursue a career as a dancer and achieve something similar to what she got as a dancer for the singer ludmilla.

In the midst of participation Big Brother Brazil and the rise of social networks, Brunna became a digital influencer, but went through a grueling routine of rehearsals and performances until she decided to quit being a part of her current wife’s dance troupe.

“I love dance, it is part of my life and my history, at school and at home, when there were parties or presentations I was there to do all the possible choreographies. Time they supported me and everything flowed”, he says.

Professionalization came after spending a season in the United States, integrating the cast of a circus. When he returned to Brazil in 2014, he participated in some selections, including for Ludmilla’s dance troupe. “And I didn’t pass the first time, in the second rehearsal I was called to follow the ballet”, he recalls.

According to Brunna, the rehearsal and concert routine was very intense. “Especially when there was something new in the shows, also because we used what we were already doing in the presentations and adapted the new one. Except when we had no recordings of clips and programs during the week,” she explains.

Now, the dancer is focused on consolidating her platform, but continues to share dance content on social networks. “I have not stopped, and I am not going to, now I am focused only on these new projects for digital and television, of which I will soon be able to give more details,” she says.

Ohana Lefundes (Anitta)

Ohana Lefundes she started her career differently: she joined the ballet at the age of seven, but had the dream of becoming a professional musical theater dancer.

“In this quest for ‘what can I do to add more to my work? What other style can I do?’, I got to know urban dances. I took a hip-hop class, fell in love and then took a class of heels, which is with the jump [alto]. Then I found myself, “she recalls.

It was in the midst of this quest that Ohana crossed paths with Anitta’s ballet, which she has been a part of since 2016. After receiving a teacher’s advice, she ended up in a ballet class. Arielle Macedothe singer’s choreographer.

“As soon as Arielle’s class ended that day, she asked for my Facebook at that time and made my contact. Some time later, she sent me a message asking if I would agree to participate in the Multishow Award 2016,” says the dancer.

The rest is history. After the success of the performance, Ohana was invited to join the “Road Ballet”, as the artist’s permanent dancers are called.

Ohana understands that she had many privileges to win her place in Anitta’s ballet, but that, “just like any other profession”, dance requires dedication and delivery.

“Especially in a country where art and dancers aren’t always popular, it is [preciso] a lot of study and a lot of perseverance, but it is not impossible “, he underlines.

Regarding her routine, she explains that when she’s not at concerts or rehearsals, she also needs to take care of her body, which is “a working tool”, and create content for digital media.

“The hardest part for me is traveling. We usually start from here [do Rio de Janeiro] at dawn or very early in the morning and arrive at the place in the afternoon and have lunch. I usually rest before the show, because after that we rarely have time to sleep in the hotel, “says Ohana.

For her, working with an artist like Anitta does not involve pressure, but responsibility. “If we work with one of the best artists in Brazil, we have to constantly reinvent ourselves and study,” she says.

“We have to keep up with her tireless pace. And this, for me, also comes from a form of inspiration, because I see her working, I see her wanting and that makes me want even more to be in a better place.” And to have higher and higher goals “, he adds.
