Actor Alec Baldwin filed a lawsuit Friday against the gunsmith and three other crew members over the fatal shooting on the set of the film “Rust,” when a gun Baldwin was using during rehearsals killed the cinematographer. Halyna Hutchins.

Baldwin’s lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court in a cross-complaint stemming from a previous lawsuit in which another staffer named Baldwin and the others as defendants.

Baldwin’s cross-complaint cites gunsmith Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, first assistant director Dave Halls, props supplier Seth Kenney, and props master Sarah Zachry.

A Gutierrez-Reed attorney, Jason Bowles, said in an email Saturday that “Baldwin is responsible for this tragedy.”

At first, Halls and Kenney’s attorneys did not respond to requests for statements on behalf of their clients. Reuters was unable to find an attorney for Zachry.

The four were also named as defendants, along with Baldwin, in the original lawsuit filed by a script supervisor who alleges the shooting caused her severe emotional distress.
