Journalist Cesar Calejon revealed this Wednesday (16) that he was fired by Jovem Pan after arguing with Rodrigo Constantino. In a text published on Twitter, he said that the broadcaster’s management did not clarify whether the decision was a consequence of the clash with the political commentator, which took place live on Jovem Pan News on Monday.

“Update: today I will not be on the board of ‘Opinion’ or in any other program of the network. I have just been informed that the board met and adopted this resolution,” wrote the writer, on his official Twitter profile.

“I don’t have details, but I think it’s related to my clash with Rodrigo Constantino,” he added.

The discussion took place on the “3 em 1” program, when Calejon accused the Bolsonarista of being irresponsible and of supporting coup acts in Brazil because he is comfortable in Miami, in the United States.

“You can do it from a much more comfortable point because you’re speaking from Miami. So you take a flight, come to Brazil, go to the barracks door, sleep in a tent, get rain and use a chemical toilet, and then you can talk to the property” , he said.

He also accused Constantino of encouraging violent acts with his hate speech, which could lead to the murder of public figures, such as STF ministers.

Calejon was keen to defend the station, despite the end of the job. “I must say that Jovem Pan has never censored me in any way in my participation in programs such as ‘Morning Show’, ‘Linha de Frente’, ‘3 em 1’ and ‘Opinião’,” he wrote on social media. “I have always expressed myself 100% freely and, for this, I thank the broadcaster and wish it success”, concluded the journalist.

This Wednesday, another reporter had a fight with Constantino. During an argument, the commentator freaked out when Leonardo Grandini called him a “jerk” to President Jair Bolsonaro and logged out of “JP News,” leaving the screen black. Before that, he told the program anchor to talk to Tutinha [o empresário Antônio Augusto Amaral de Carvalho Filho], owner of Jovem Pan, who was tired. “I don’t have to hear it,” he said.

Will the broadcaster fire another one?

Since Lula’s election, Jovem Pan News has eliminated more people than “A Fazenda”, maintaining virtually the same level of live discord as the Record TV show.

It is worth mentioning that the channel had already “fired” Constantino in 2020, after a controversial rape defense speech in which he mentioned his own daughter. But the dismissal at the time “didn’t hold out”.
