Jason David Frank, the Green Power Ranger, dies at 49

Actor Jason David Frank, who lived through the Green Power Rangers, passed away on Saturday (11/19) at the age of 49. The death of the artist, who was also an MMA fighter, was reported by Mike Bronzoulis, who was his trainer, without revealing the cause. But the American site TMZ published that it was suicide.

Frank was only supposed to appear as Tommy Oliver in a handful of episodes of the original 1993 attraction, but he ended up becoming the second actor to star in the most installments and spinoff productions of the franchise, embodying different versions of the hero between the 1993 and 2018, in seven different titles.

In the Original Series storyline, he was introduced in Season 1 initially as an enemy of the heroes. However, he soon changed sides. In his trajectory, the character Tommy also becomes the White Power Ranger and the new leader of the group, a condition in which he appears in two 1990s films.

In addition, in 2017 Frank made a short appearance in the film “Power Rangers”, a film reboot of the original series, produced by Lionsgate, and starred in a reality show about his life, “My Morphin Life”, between 2014 and 2018 .

He was an 8th degree black belt in Karate, a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, as well as regularly wrestling, kickboxing and boxing. Since 2010 she has been fighting in MMA competitions.

He was a fan of fighter Anderson Silva and had a tattoo honoring the Brazilian on his left foot.

The artist leaves behind four children from two marriages.
