“I’ve played in wedding dresses seven times, so I’m not married yet”: Anastasia Akatova on the new season of “Guests from the Past”

On the eve of the premiere of new episodes of the fantastic comedy “Guests from the Past” (Monday at 7 p.m. on STS), the actress shared her opinion on the signs, wedding dresses and hairstyles that make you feel like a queen.

Anastasia, your heroine has a lot of adventures in the second season of “Guests from the Past”. A single meeting with the future emperor is worth something. But probably the most interesting thing for the actress is historical costumes. What do you remember in particular?

Nineteenth century! (Smiling.) We had very nice costumes, balls – in general, great. But at the same time, corsets, which, of course, I constantly wanted to take off. I remember the scene with Anya Nevskaya: we were both sitting in corsets so tight on us that they squeezed everything in the world. And here the main thing is to get used to them, because after an hour we even learned to breathe them. (Laughs.) It’s true, I don’t understand how they walked like that all day at that time.

Did the hairstyles of that time also baffle you?

I had favorite and unloved hairstyles. (Smiling.) For example, the loops, which looked like three protruding pipes, seemed crazy to me. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I laughed all the time. But with her favorite hairstyle – high cut hair and flowers woven into it – she felt like a queen. (Smiling.)

In one of the scenes, you appear in a wedding dress. Aren’t you superstitious in that sense?

I’ve already acted in wedding dresses seven times, apparently, that’s why I’m not married yet. Once in an interview she joked that I was already thirty, but still could not. (Laughs.) But seriously, about superstitions, what I definitely couldn’t do is lie in a coffin. A wedding dress, why not? In addition, the artists have assembled this dress with care, in several parts: something from the 20th century, something from the 19th century, there is also the influence of our 90s.

In this dress, do you imagine at your own wedding?

I wouldn’t call it my dream dress. (Smiles.) It also proved very uncomfortable due to the long hem train, which was attached to my legs so I could move around the site without picking up dirt. This dress with a corset is so heavy… Of course, in the frame everything is incredibly impressive, but in real life I can’t imagine myself in such a wedding dress.

What do you represent?

In trousers, perhaps in a light and modest dress, for example, in linen. (Smiling.)

Probably, in general, you are particularly comfortable in practical and simple things?

I can say that since moving from Rybinsk to Moscow, my style has changed. I used to dress more feminine, there were heels and dresses. In Moscow, she began to wear comfortable and comfortable clothes. It’s a question of distance and rhythm. I can dress strictly if I go to the premiere. But what I don’t like are bright things, apparently, because on set I’m often dressed like that. For example, I had a lot of pink roles, so that was enough for the movies. (Smiling.) Myself, I love black and gray. In the summer, however, I try to wear something light depending on my mood. I’m generally a moody person.

What are you sure you’re not wearing?

Silhouette dresses. I love oversized long dresses. In the movies, I’m more often disguised as a girl-girl. But in life, I would feel a little frivolous and ridiculous. (Smiling.)

You can hardly be recognized in your photographs from different years. You are different everywhere, different in every role.

That’s probably our main goal, acting – to be different, to reincarnate. I would like to play comedic roles and also exist convincingly in drama. I recently had the premiere of the movie “Decided: Brother”, where I played the role of a drug addict. Some admitted that they didn’t recognize me, that I was completely different there. Of course, it is very nice to receive such comments. (Smiling.)

Recently, you were blonde, but went back to your original color. Is there a desire to change now?

In fact, I have long wanted Brigitte Bardot style bangs: not short, but elongated. So that you can remove it and, conversely, if you wish, remove it. I call it a break bang. (Smiles.) I’ve never had bangs, so I’m a little worried. But I decided for the role, so it sort of coincided.

Do you find it difficult to make changes in general?

If I burn with the script, the role, then no problem. I will understand why, it will inspire. (Smiling.)
