‘Twin Peaks’ actor Al Strobel has died at the age of 83

Actor Al Strobel, known for his role in the series ‘Twin Peaks’ passed away on Friday (2/12). He was 83 years old and the cause of the straw was not disclosed.

The information was confirmed by producer Sabrina Sutherland, who worked on “Twin Peaks”, and wrote on her Facebook profile: “Through the darkness of the past, the future and so much sadness, we say goodbye to Al Strobel. It is a irreplaceable human being and will always be an important part of our ‘Twin Peaks’ family.”

The actor lost his left arm in a car accident when he was 17 and the fact that he only has one arm was incorporated dramatically into the 1990s series. Gerard, had his arm in the plot to prevent a sinister being from taking over his body.

He appeared in 10 episodes of the original series and had a standout moment on the show when he recited a poem saying “fire walks with me.”

The expression baptized the derivative film from the 1992 “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me” series, but the reference lost its meaning in the Brazilian “translation”, which became “Twin Peaks: Os Últimos Dias de Laura Palmer “.

Strobel also participated in the revival of the series, ‘Twin Peaks Returns’, appearing in nine episodes in 2017.

In addition to the attraction created by director David Lynch and screenwriter Mark Frost, he also starred in five independent films, three of which were budget horror.

On social media, the actor received a tribute from Mark Frost, co-creator of “Twin Peaks”, who recalled: “What a warm and wonderful gentleman he was”.
