Actor Jeremy Renner, who became famous for playing the superhero Hawkeye in cinemas, suffered a serious accident while clearing excess snow from his US residence. The crash left him in critical condition on Sunday (1/1), according to US press reports.
The Marvel actor’s residence is located in the Sierra Nevada near Lake Tahoe, a region of the United States that has been hit hard by winter storms.
According to a representative for the artist explained to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor was trying to clean the sidewalk when he suffered the accident. He had to be flown to the hospital.
“Jeremy is in critical but stable condition. With injuries sustained from the weather crash while shoveling snow today (actually yesterday),” the spokesman said.
Interestingly, the United States has faced what it considers to be the “blizzard of the century,” which has already killed dozens of people due to intense weather conditions. The storm also caused power outages and forced the cancellation of thousands of North American flights.
The Washoe County Serious Accident Investigation Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash involving the actor.
