The Regional Nursing Council of São Paulo (Coren-SP) has closed the investigative process of the Klara Castanho case.
Coren-SP investigated the actress’s complaint that a nurse had approached her and threatened to reveal to the press information about a child being handed over for adoption following a rape. The news reached columnists who sought out the actress while she was still in the hospital. Even asking them not to write about the matter, the information ended up being leaked, distorted, and generated sensational allegations against Klara, a victim of rape and invasion of privacy.
According to the Council, an investigation into the leak of confidential information at Hospital Brasil, based on information disclosed by the plaintiff, found no culprits.
“The Council followed all the procedural procedures, requested documents from the hospital and summoned the professionals in service at the time of the reported fact, but did not verify the participation of any nursing professional in relation to the leak of confidential information on the patients, which resulted in the case being dismissed. So far, Coren-SP has not received a complaint from the plaintiff on the matter,” he said in a statement.
Apparently, Coren-SP did not listen to Matheus Baldi, former columnist of “Fofocalizando”, who would have received the phone call with the news of the pregnancy and was the first to announce the case. After a phone call from Klara, who explained that it wasn’t just pregnancy, that she was a victim of rape and that the matter could not be leaked, she even deleted the post, but the story ended up coming back forcefully soon after , in a surreal video by Antonia Fontenelle, who accused Klara of being monstrous and of having committed a crime for having donated the child, and in a participation by Leo Dias in the program “The Noite” (SBT), where she accused a actress “who sells an image that everyone thinks is santinha” for having done something capable of making people “lose faith in humanity”.
Klara was forced to go public with all the details, publishing a post on June 26 that she described as “the hardest account of my life.” Despite the outburst, Leo Dias did not hold back and then published the child’s birth data, including time and place of birth, which are protected by law, exposing the young woman even more.
These data, by the way, could only come out of the hospital. But Coren-SP found nothing wrong.
Despite this provision, the police are continuing their investigation normally, since Klara has initiated a court case for slander, defamation and slander against Leo Dias, Antonia Fontenelle and Adriana Kappaz, known as Dri Paz, who along the same lines they made gossip – by posting a video on the Kwai social network that “attributes” the crime of abandonment of incapable to the actress.
Klara’s representatives say that “all fundamental judicial steps have been taken by the legal team so that those involved are investigated and accountable for their actions.”
