South Korean singer Jin, a member of the band BTS, shared a message with his fans on Monday (9/1). In a video shot before his military enlistment, Jin encourages fans to wait for him while he completes his duty.
“Hi everyone, I’m Jin from BTS. I won’t be a civilian when the video comes out. But I’m here on camera because I wanted to leave something for you, even if it’s just a message,” she said, in a clip posted on YouTube channel by Bangtan TV.
Jin’s video was shot during breaks from his appearance on the South Korean variety show “Running Man” about a month before his enlistment in December.
“I may not be by your side, but I will come to you soon, if you wait a while,” she continued. “I’ll be back soon. That’s all for today. Next time, when I have time, I’ll share another video.”
Although Jin did not clarify when he will release another video, BTS’ official Twitter profile stated that the singer’s messages “will come in various ways every month,” indicating that a large amount of content has been prepared to make up for the singer’s absence. . . .
Jin (whose full name is Kim Seok-jin) is the first BTS member to join the military. He is based in a military facility in Yeoncheon, near the North Korean border.
Due to military obligations, BTS is currently on hiatus and the other members – who will also enlist soon – are pursuing solo projects.
Recently, singer RM released an album titled “Indigo”, which ranked No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Jin himself also released a single (called “Astronaut”) shortly before starting his military service.
However, BTS fans will soon be able to see the lineup complete and on the big screen. The concert they held in Busan last October will be shown in cinemas in early February, also in Brazil.
