The leader of the English band McFly, Tom Fletcher announced on social media the reason to be more silent in their interactions. Upon examination, it was found that the artist had inflammation in the middle layer of the eye, popularly known as the uveal tract. It can cause eye pain and even vision changes.

“Sorry if I’ve been a little quiet. I was struck down with some sort of illness and was bedridden for a few days. I just got up yesterday and the uveitis decided to hit me again. I’m so grateful to have a hospital eye specialist in London! Second time I’ve come across that place holding my eyes and they were amazing,” she wrote.

The specialist Alex Sa explains that the diagnosis is made through examinations of the retinal fundus and that after finding the problem, the initial treatment is simple and fast, it can be done through drugs or eye drops. He also stresses that the disease must be diagnosed quickly, as over time the patient can develop glaucoma or cataracts.
