The star of the LGBT+ themed series has been criticized for being involved in a project linked to JK Rowling
Recently, Sebastian Croft spoke after being criticized for voicing one of the game’s characters Hogwarts Legacy. Out February 10, 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC platforms, the game takes place in the universe of Harry Potterclassic of JK Rowlingauthor criticized for making transphobic comments.
Croft is one of the stars of heartstop, series of Netflix which has an LGBT+ teen drama as its main story. The actor revealed he was cast as a voice actor for the game three years ago and disowned Rowling’s lines.
“I was cast on this project over 3 years ago when all Harry Potter it was for me it was the magical world i grew up with. This was long before I was aware of the opinions of JK Rowling.
“I truly believe that trans women are women and trans men are men,” she wrote on Twitter.

Sebastian pointed out that it has evolved over time and apologized for being part of the project. “I know a lot more now than I did 3 years ago, and I hope to learn a lot more in the next 3. I am truly sorry to anyone who has been hurt by this announcement. There is no LGB without the T.”
