Paris Hilton Proposed Five Times: Who Was Her First Fiancé and What Went Wrong?

Paris Hilton was to (at least for the first time) get married in the early 2000s. Did something go wrong?

Up to 40 years in the life of Paris Hilton was anything but banal female happiness, despite a stormy personal life. “Chocolate Blonde” in different years met with actor Edward Furlong, ex-husband of Pamela Anderson, Rick Salomon, singer Nick Carter, current husband of Dasha Zhukova, Stavras Niarchos, guitarist Benji Madden, basketball player Doug Reinhard, Leonardo DiCaprio, millionaire Thomas Gross. In short, the list is long.

Of all the socialite’s boyfriends, five decided to make her an offer of marriage. The response from Paris always sounded the same: “Of course it does!”, yet the engagements were broken. Except for the last one, with entrepreneur and venture capitalist Carter Reum.

But who was the first? Let’s talk!

In the 2000s, Paris was already a popular girl in social circles – her fame was secured not so much by belonging to a famous family, but by scandal, love of parties and a stormy personal life. After several high-profile unsuccessful romances, Paris met model Jason Shaw.

Their romance developed rapidly, and soon the guy made a scandalous blonde marriage proposal – the first in his life. Hilton was then 20 years old, her fiancé was 8 years older.

Age may have played a key role, as the wedding didn’t happen: Paris was still too young and ready to party. The couple broke up in 2003. In 2010, the ex-lovers tried to renew the romance, but nothing good came of this endeavor.
