But Demi Lovato suffered the most from the “purity ring”. Only in 2021 did the 28-year-old singer reveal that she had to hide the fact of a rape for years so as not to spoil Disney’s image.

“As a rule, women suffer more than men. Especially at 15, and especially when you’re a female star who should be the perfect role model. I had a “purity ring”. So I was supposed to go out in public and tell everything? That I had an intimate relationship even though it was rape? Some would interpret it differently,” the star said in an interview.

Demi lost her virginity at the time of the rape. At the same time, the girl is still afraid to reveal the name of the criminal, but hints that he forcibly took her away at least several times.
