‘That’s So Raven’ actor claims insanity after new arrest warrant

Orlando Brown, known for playing Eddie in “That’s So Raven,” has sought a psychiatric evaluation before facing trial for domestic violence. The artist has been under house arrest since December after receiving the charges.

According to TMZ this Tuesday (7/2), the actor claimed he was innocent, but suffered from insanity. His personal attorney has emphasized that medical evaluation can determine whether Brown is fit to proceed with the trial.

Orlando Brown managed to be released from prison after posting bail, worth around $25,000 (roughly R$130,000).

It’s not today that the ex-Disney faces complications in court. In mid-2008, after leaving the series, the actor was reported missing for 24 hours. According to him, he needed to “be alone”. Three years later, Orlando was arrested for drunk driving. At the time, the artist posted $15,000 bond to be released.

In May 2012 he collected yet another arrest. This time, for failing to comply with one of the conditions of the previous parole. He was also arrested the following month after missing the court hearing.

And not only … In 2014 Orlando Brown was arrested for the crimes of disturbing the peace and drunkenness. Two years later, he returned to chess for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and possessing methamphetamines.

The last arrest was in 2018, when Orlando Brown was charged with robbery, possession of drugs and contempt of a public official. On this occasion, the actor was also reported for domestic violence.

To top it off, he said in 2021 that he was a victim of abuse and accused actor Will Smith of child sexual harassment. The case was not even investigated.
