Auction house Christie's will auction costumes and accessories from The Devil Wears Prada 2 in an online sale from Sept. 1 to Sept. 15, Page Six reported. The event will coincide with Fashion Week.
A top lot in the sale is a Gabriela Hearst dress worn by Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs for Miranda Priestly's party in the Hamptons. The outfit features a detail from filming, where the character spills her lunch on the dress according to the plot, and the item will go to auction in that exact condition. The original Gabriela Hearst design costs around $7,900, though organizers have not revealed how much they expect the movie version to bring.
Dries Van Noten jacket
Another featured lot is a Dries Van Noten jacket with tassels that almost disappeared from the movie. Costume designer Molly Rogers said the studio initially opposed the look, but Meryl Streep and the team insisted on keeping it.
The auction will also include a Tiffany & Co. Bone Cuff piece of jewelry worn by Emily. A Schiaparelli jacket selected for Miranda Priestly will also be offered in the sale.
