Damon Albarn has taken his romance with new girlfriend Rebecca Freckleton to the next level by moving in together, almost a year after the couple secretly began dating. The Blur frontman, 58, appeared smitten with his new partner as they enjoyed a cosy stroll together through Notting Hill in West London this week.
The relationship comes four years after Albarn split from his long-time partner of 25 years, Suzi Winstanley. Freckleton, a backing vocalist who has toured and performed with Albarn's virtual band Gorillaz for several years, is reportedly now staying with the singer at his London home on a permanent basis.
During their low-key outing in the capital, the pair looked relaxed and happy while running errands together. Albarn, dressed casually in a navy T-shirt, blue striped shorts, and a navy cap, draped an arm over Freckleton's shoulder while she slipped her arm around his waist.

As they walked down the street, the public display of affection continued. At one point during the stroll, Freckleton affectionately touched Albarn's bottom before he grabbed her hand to hold.
Freckleton also opted for a relaxed look for the outing, wearing a red crop top, slouchy jeans, a black cap, and sandals. She completed her outfit with sunglasses, styled her braided hair into a bun, and wore a dazzling emerald ring on her engagement finger.
The couple chatted as they visited a local grocery store together. While waiting outside the shop for Albarn, Freckleton stopped to talk with actress and producer Sarah Hollis before the pair headed off down the street.
Moving In and Building a Life in London
A source told The Sun that friends of the couple are thrilled about the relationship. "Damon and Rebecca are in love and their friends couldn’t be happier for them," the insider disclosed.
The source further explained how the romance blossomed following the end of Albarn's previous relationship. "After his split from Suzi in 2022, Damon took some time to find himself again. It was a few years later he started to grow closer to Rebecca," the insider said.
"They’ve been seeing each other for almost a year now. He’s got a place in London and she’s there all the time with him," the source added. Representatives for Albarn have been contacted by the Daily Mail for comment on the relationship.
End of a 25-Year Partnership with Suzi Winstanley
Albarn's new living arrangement follows his split from artist Suzi Winstanley at the end of 2022, though news of their breakup only emerged publicly the following year. The former couple first began dating in 1998 and share a daughter, Missy, who was born in 1999.
The Mail On Sunday revealed in 2023 that Winstanley ended the relationship after 25 years together, despite extensive efforts from both parties to save their partnership. In the album's opening track, titled The Ballad, Albarn addresses the separation directly, singing: "I just looked into my life/And all I saw was that you're not coming back."
Other lyrics on the record suggest that the musician placed himself at fault for the breakdown of the relationship. On the second track, St Charles Square, the opening lines state: "I f***** up/I'm not the first to do it."
